Human Skin with Arnold 5 and aiStandardSurface

Hey everyone and welcome back!

Lots of my subscribers are unhappy with the new shader iteration of Arnolds aiStandard shader. Most of the complaints are directed at the SubSurfaceScattering functionality of the shader. They were used to the 3 Layers which where a standard in alShaders alSurface. With Arnolds new shader those 3 different skin layers where not implemented but instead just a simple radius control which can be mapped using RGB values.

I have rendered this image with the new shader, just to convince people that it is still possible to create realistic skin using the new shader. Also I have created a tutorial for that which can be found on my YouTube channel dated June 2nd 2017.
